Initial Acupuncture Appointment
Your initial appointment is focused on your primary concerns which can vary from pain management, infertility, pre-natal care, women’s health, autoimmune or any other acute or chronic condition. We will go in-depth into your whole health history relevant to your primary concerns as well as your overall health goals. We will go over a treatment plan followed by an acupuncture treatment. You will then rest with needles retained for 20-30 minutes. This is the time to relax and let the needles to their work. Other modalities such as cupping, gua sha or electro-stim may be utilized to enhance the treatments.
DURATION: 55 minutes
Follow-up Acupuncture Appointment
These appointments are shorter in duration with a brief intake and continuation of your initial concern. After needles are gently placed into the appropriate points, you will rest and relax for 20-30 minutes allowing the body to initiate its own healing response in treating illness and bring homeostasis to the body. Other modalities may be utilized to enhance treatments as necessary.

Initial Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture Appointment
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is an alternative way to combat the signs of aging with none of the risks or downtime of surgery and injections. Special points on the face and body are needled with fine sterile needles to promote collagen, tone muscles, and stimulate blood flow to reduce the signs of aging. Facial rejuvenation is not just about the face, but promoting overall health in the whole body. Guidance on stress management and nutrition are also part of the process in helping you feel your best. 10-12 weekly follow-up treatments are recommended for optimal benefits. Facial cupping and Gua Sha are added after acupuncture. Please see below for more information about facial cupping and gua sha.
*For Facial Rejuvenation Appointments, please call to make sure you are a good candidate for these treatments.

Pediatric Acupuncture Appointment
Acupuncture for children helps with daily ailments, but is especially useful during cold/flu season to give their immune system a boost. Very thin needles are inserted into acupuncture points along your child’s body. These needles are only kept in for a short moment resulting in a painless experience for your child. If a child is older and can remain still, needles may be retained for a longer period of time. Cupping may be utilized if there are any respiratory issues. If your child is needle sensitive, a point stimulator may be used to stimulate acupuncture points without any insertion of needles. Shoni-shin, a Japanese massage technique, to stimulate the specific meridians may also be added as necessary.

Facial Cupping/Gua Sha
Supports cosmetic acupuncture in building collagen, improving blood flow, and stimulating lymphatic drainage in the face with some acupuncture points on the body. This relaxing treatment leaves no marks on the face as glass cups glide around soothing and relaxing muscles. Jade or rose quartz gua sha tools are used to finish the treatment. This treatment can be utilized by someone who can not get needling done on their face. It is often added at the end of cosmetic acupuncture. As a stand alone treatment, some acupuncture points are added to the body to help overall blood circulation benefiting not just the face, but the whole body.
Duration: 10- 15 minutes
Cupping
The application of suction cupping to stimulate the blood flow for the reduction of pain and inflammation. Not only does cupping promote the healthy flow of blood and qi to the body, but it is also used to treat upper respiratory conditions by improving blood flow and the lymph system to activate the immune system. Cupping styles vary depending on the need. I utilize stationary cupping with plastic cups, moving cupping and fire cupping with glass cups as needed for the appropriate needs and areas of concern for the individual.
