FAQ
Do you take insurance?
Yes. Currently, I am an in-network provider with United Healthcare. I am an out-of-network provider for all other health plans for those who have acupuncture coverage. We will verify benefits and as a service, bill your insurance for you.
In most cases an FSA/HSA credit card can be used as a form of payment. If you do not have an FSA/HSA card but have an account, we can provide you with a superbill upon which you can submit for reimbursement. If you are underinsured or would prefer to pay cash, we offer reduced rates for time of service payments. Please contact us to verify your insurance benefits or to discuss other payment plans.
If insurance is not verified by the first initial appointment, the initial appointment fee will be subject to be paid in full upfront. Once verification is received and reimbursement is received, you will be credited for the initial fee paid. If insurance reimbursement is insufficient, we reserve the right to further request the balance from the patient.
We accept cash, check, FSA/HSA, and most credit cards. If you would like to have us verify your insurance, please click on button below to submit the needed information.
How many treatments will I need?
Every person and situation is different so progress and duration will vary. In general, if you have an acute condition, it might take as little as 4 - 8 treatments. If you have an ongoing chronic case, you may need weekly or bi-weekly treatments for a longer period of time.
Often times people like to get acupuncture for the relaxing and preventative benefits even after their initial complaint is gone.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people say there is little or no pain as very fine, sterile, disposable needles are used. Acupuncture needles are not like hypodermic needles that are hollow. Acupuncture needles are much thinner and thus cause little to no pain upon insertion. Other modalities such as electro-stimulation, cupping, and gua sha are sometimes used and require no needling based on the condition treated.
What conditions can acupuncture treat?
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can treat conditions such as pain, anxiety, arthritis, asthma, migraine, menstrual disorders, intestinal disorders, addiction and a vast array of other conditions. I have experience with a variety of conditions from chronic pain conditions to infertility. It’s best to contact me and see if acupuncture can help you with your condition.
