ABOUT JIN

Having grown up in Korea and Southern California with acupuncture and herbal medicine as a part of her everyday life, Jin’s first encounter came from the calming aroma of medicinal herbs in her grandmother’s kitchen. It was nothing out of the ordinary to get acupuncture for various ailments at an early age, and she remembers her first treatment at the age of 7 being one of wonderment and awe. Over the course of her life, Jin saw the benefits of Chinese Medicine for her own health, as well as those of her family and friends. It was not uncommon for Jin to research medicinal plants as a hobby and find natural remedies for herself and friends. This curiosity eventually evolved into a deep appreciation and passion for the rich connections between nature and one’s body.

Jin would carry this fascination into her schooling, at Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine where she apprenticed under Dr. Bong Dal Kim, founder of ECTOM, for many years continuing after her graduation in 2014. Jin would then go on to open her first private practice in beautiful Mill Valley, Northern California (operating under Bloom Wellness). Upon moving back to SoCal to be closer to family, Jin would eventually find a home for her current practice in Los Alamitos.

The foundation of Jin’s approach to patient care is addressing the unique needs of each patient in balancing body, mind, and spirit, as she finds it to be the most important factor in an individual’s journey toward wellness. As a mother of 2, Jin has also seen first-hand the benefits of having access to natural remedies throughout one’s pregnancy, postpartum care, and in raising children holistically. Jin treats conditions ranging from chronic pain to fertility and everything in between in every phase of life.

Jin continues to deepen her knowledge of chinese medicine by taking a variety of advanced courses including women’s health, prenatal care, fertility, Integrative medicine, pain management and cosmetic acupuncture.
